What is Personal Training?
Personal training is individualized coaching designed to help you reach your personal goals. Your trainer will provide you with guidance, motivation, and education to ensure that you are working to your fullest potential and doing it safely and effectively. Various methods of strength training, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility work are incorporated for a well-rounded fitness program.
Why should I hire a Personal Trainer?
The individual attention and instruction you receive from our certified trainers will ensure results as well as proper form, program design, and biomechanics. Whether you are tackling a new challenge, trying to break through a plateau, or venturing into the gym for the first time, you'll maximize your results and minimize your risk of injury. Scheduling is convenient, and the motivation is unparalleled.

How do I get started?
The best way to get started is by purchasing the TFP (as described above). Once you have filled out the paperwork (including a health and exercise history form) and paid for your TFP, one of our trainers will contact you directly to schedule your first session.
How do I choose a trainer? How is a trainer assigned to me?
Our trainers all have profiles and pictures on the Cheetah Gym website. You are welcome to read about their backgrounds, qualifications, and training philosophies and decide if one of the trainers most appeals to you. On your TFP form there is a space where you can request a specific trainer or simply request a male or female trainer if you prefer. We always try to match you with your preferred trainer, however, if availability is a problem we will do our best to ensure you are assigned a trainer with a similar training style.
Do you have to be a gym member to work with a trainer?
Non-members are welcome to work with a trainer after the payment of a day fee. The day fee is currently $15 ($12 if you are with a member). This fee is in addition to the fee for training for each session.
I have physical restrictions and/or injuries that limit my abilities?
Is training still an option for me? Yes. Please list your physical restrictions in the appropriate space on the TFP paperwork. We will match you with a trainer who has the experience to work within your restrictions. We will relay your information to your trainer, who will design a program to safely fit your needs and limitations.
Do I need a doctor's note to begin training?
We require a doctor's approval for women who are pregnant or have given birth within the last 12 weeks. We also require a doctor's permission for people with serious medical conditions.
Can my trainer help me with my cardio routine?
Yes. Upon request, your trainer can create a cardio training program for you to use on your own.
How often should I meet with my trainer?
It varies depending on your goals. Most people meet with their trainer between one and three times per week.
Are there any discounts available for training?
Training packages are a great way to save money, since the per-session price decreases for a 6-pack or 12-pack.
What should I wear to work out in?
You should wear clothing that is comfortable, breathable and stretchable. Women should wear a form fitting sports bra underneath their clothing for support. Cotton socks with cross-training shoes are best. Running shoes are not ideal since they do not support lateral flexion and movement. Hair should be pulled back so that it does not get caught in equipment cables and weights.
What is the difference among the varying trainer levels?
Trainers are differentiated based on education, certification, years of experience, skillset and overall training ability.
Do I need to be in shape before signing up?
Absolutely not. All of trainers are skilled in working with clients of many different levels. Where you are going with your fitness goals is more important than where you are starting from. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Why not start your journey today.
